How much better would society be if more people liked going to work?
Considering that we spend a large chunk of our lives at work, I believe it’s a worthy and deeply important pursuit to transform workplaces for the better.
I’m looking to work and collaborate with other smart people and to join a team and a place that makes things happen.
What’s the saying, readers are leaders?
Here’s a collection of books that I’ve read that have impacted the way I see the world and have helped to guide my thinking.
They range from door-stopper-size biographical tomes to small, hundred-page works of fiction.
The greatest people throughout history have always been readers of serious books. They read to learn, to broaden their horizons, and to enlighten their friends with some cool facts. They study history to understand how it was done before, so they can do it better today.
Every leader needs a creative outlet outside work.
Here’s a catalog of some of my creative output, such as photography, writings and speeches, and music.
Einstein played violin in between working on theories; Theodore Roosevelt was an avid bird watcher and would stroll the White House grounds every morning looking for finches; and Churchill, who was an enthusiastic painter his entire adult life, painted in free moments during WW2 as a quick break from saving the world. If these great men could find time, so can we!
